Our image evaluation system has, after many years, received a significant revision for 2010. Members may now submit images on two evenings per month as described below:
- Competition Night (prefix images with a "C")
First Meeting of the month (second Wednesday): - In any given month, members can send in three images, with a maximum of two on any night.
- If three images submitted, at least one must be a print.
- On Competition Night, at least one must be on theme. Only the highest score counts toward aggregate. Both images may count for levels advancement.
- There will be three judges plus one guest judge. Comments may be made by more than one judge, including the alternate, or a judge may pass. Each of the 3 Judges will score between 1-10 points per image, based on the criteria for evaluation at the level in which the image is entered.
- Development Night (prefix images with a "D")
Second Meeting of the month (third Wednesday):- The evening will continue to include a shorter member’s showcase
- Emphasis will be on discussion of images without scoring. Discussion will encourage participation by members, judges and maker. Example: image presented, members discuss in clusters, judges comment and maker comments.
