Image Evaluation System

NOTE: Print and Slide evaluations will be maintained as seperate categories for all members.

Members may submit 4 Slides and/or Prints per session - two for the assigned monthly theme plus two "Open" assigned topics. These topics are announced a year in advance in the clubs' newletters and on the Club Website. Late entries will not be accepted, except in the case of a new member who may, on a one-time basis, catch up in the 'Open' category only.

Each of the 3 Judges will score between 1-10 points per image, based on the criteria for evaluation at the level in which the image is entered. Concise comments on the image will be encouraged, recognizing the strengths or qualitites of the image. Constructive criticism is also welcomed. Where a LCC member is invited to judge and has images submitted for evaluation, an appointed alternate Judge will score their entries. After the score is electronically entered, the Visiting Judge will make his/her comments and suggestions, and then the makers name and score will be announced.

Each member progressing to a new level, in either Prints or Slides will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Credits are recognized as each level is attained. Points will accumulate until the end of the Club Year and will be re-set at the beginning of each year. The aggregate point totals will be used to determine the winners of Specialty Awards at the Camera Clubs' Year End Celebration.

In September, awards will be given for the previous season's:

  • Highest Yearly Aggregate Points - Prints
