Every new member to LCC begins at Level One whether they are new to photography or veterans to the art. For each level there is a minimum score per image that needs to be attained to receive a credit for that image. Each level requires a certain amount of credits to progress to the next level as per the following table.
| Level | Minimum score needed for credit |
Credits needed to advance to next level |
|---|---|---|
| One | 18 | 5 |
| Two | 20 | 10 |
| Three | 22 | 15 |
| Four | 24 | 15 |
| Five | 25 | 15 |
| Gold | 26+ |
Credits are re-set to zero as each level is attained. Evaluation Scores recorded and added together to accumulate as points for an aggregate score. A Register is kept of participating members, including each member’s level for participation in each category, past results of evaluations for each image submitted, and accumulated credits and points in each category. Every member progressing to a new level receives a Certificate of Achievement. Points accumulate for each member under the two categories, Projected and Prints. This means you could be in one Level for Projected images and a different Level for Print images. The point totals dictate who will receive the year end Aggregate total and Awards. Points are re-set back to zero for September’s beginning season and members have a new set of Assigned topics to work with. Levels are retained by members from one year to the next as are the credits that are accumulated in their current level until they progress to the next level. When a member does not participate for more than two full Club years in any image category, the points and credits are forfeited in their last level achieved, and the member begins again in that level.
