My interest in photography didn't happen until fairly recently. I have a trusty canon AE-1 that I purchased at age 21, but it only saw the occasional light of day. Three years ago a co-worker told me about the Langley Camera Club, and brought me out to a few meetings. After a few visits I fell into the groove and decided to stay and join. Seeing other images by members of varying levels of experience made me feel comfortable to start showing my own. I prefer still lifes, and hot-rods and classic cars as subjects, but do not limit myself if another interesting image comes my way. I am starting my third year as a club member, and second as a member of the executive committee, and am currently co-chair of projected image coordination, as well as outside projected image competition chair. I am also involved with the Digital Committee, which has brought the format of digital projection into the club. I am enjoying the many facets of belonging to a club of this caliber, and greatly appreciate the cameraderie and support of its many talented members.
