Rick was hooked on photography immediately when he bought his first SLR, a Fujica 701, in 1971. He currently uses Konica/Minolta digital equipment for most of his photography, but still occasionally shoots 35mm slide film and medium format. His photographic interests include wilderness and nature, scenics and macro, but he will try pretty much anything. His lifestyle and career allows frequent travel and he will always have a camera with him as he sees the world. Rick combines his love of photography with his love of flying and frequently does aerial photography. For the past few years, Rick has presented Macro workshops at the annual APAC Photo conference in Abbotsford, the “Arts Alive” sessions in Delta, and on request at various corporations and Camera Clubs around the lower mainland. Rick has held many positions on the Langley Camera Club executive, including two terms as President.
